Ready to jam? Perhaps you have already heard about Dispatch’s sold out reunion tour, but have you heard there’s a new EP release in the works as well?

At last, Dispatch has returned to the recording studio after ten full years of absence. The Vermont trio’s forthcoming EP is due for a summer release; no specific date or title has been announced yet. Yesterday, Dispatch released the EP’s lead single “Melon Bend” online (free download available below in exchange for an e-mail address), and on iTunes today via Bomber Records.

Chad Urmston, Pete Heimbold, and Brad Corrigan (Braddigan) performed “Melon Bend” last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in all its glory for the single’s official debut. The video of Dispatch’s performance on Fallon, as well as their 2011 summer tour schedule, are available below.
