Robert F. X. Sillerman, the media mogul who transformed the live music world by merging regional concert promoters to create Live Nation, is making a triumphant return to the business with his acquisition of Dayglow - the “World’s Largest Paint Party.”
Dayglow is the second major purchase Sillerman has made this summer, following June’s acquisition of the EDM production company Disco Donnie Presents.
Dayglow, founded by Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell, Lukasz Tracz and Patryk Tracz, is a six year old production and promotions company which stages more than 125 concerts annually worldwide. The infamous paint parties attract more than 500,000 people per year with their theatrical productions and big-name headliners such as Axwell, Alesso and Benny Benassi.
“Dayglow has become one of the leading brands in EDM and developed a winning formula,“ Sillerman said. “We’re looking forward to working together to further leverage the Dayglow brand in the U.S. and abroad, and expanding their offerings.”

What does this mean for us electronic music lovers? Production perfection. No faulty speakers, no shady promoter nonsense, no night-ending noise violations. Just a well-oiled concert machine that spits out flawless concert after flawless concert around the globe.
SFX Entertainment is quickly becoming a consolidated music apparatus where everyone (promoters, security, bartenders, valet) must operate at the same standard of excellence. It’s a company that can be, and will be, held accountable for providing us with the best sound systems, the best lighting sequences, and the best musical talent.
Welcome to the future of EDM concerts, everyone. Welcome to the genre we love, Mr. Sillerman. We hope you’re ready to be splattered with paint and crank up the bass.
