After years of fans waiting and being teased by announcements that the Cool Kids would be releasing their first official LP "soon" and then dropping mixtapes instead, the hip-hop duo will finally be giving their fans what they want on July 12th. The Album, When Fish Ride Bicycles, dominates summer anthem territory with cameos from Ghostface Killah, Bun B, Travis Barker and more. After the success of their EP, The Bake Sale, enormous hype surrounded their old school hip-hop revival sound and brilliantly self-aware rhymes. With such a high-profile Rolodex of guest appearances on When Fish Ride Bicycles, there is no doubt that the album will justify all the hype. The Cool Kids have transitioned from an underground sensation to the hottest ticket in the booths. Stand out tracks like "Bundle Up," "Penny Hardaway" and "Rush Hour Traffic" will be flooding your speakers this summer with their old school, golden age hip hop flare and knocking bass.

Trinidad-born, Brooklyn-raised rapper Theophilus London made a name for himself through a series of wildly successful online mixtapes. Since his debut EP, Lovers Holiday, which released in February, London has been taking the rap world by storm and making elite clothing brands lust after his 80's-infused style. Even though London has only been on people's radars for a short while, he has already amassed an impressive index of major music friends, including Sara Quin of Tegan & Sara, Beyonce's baby sister Solange Knowles, and TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek. On his Lovers Holiday EP, London aggressively and brilliantly merges hip-hop with indie rock hipsterdom, which we can only hope will go even harder on his debut album, Timez Are Weird These Days, dropping on July 19th. Now signed with Warner Bros., London will be pumping out some fire electro-hip-hop anthems for for your sizzling summer pleasure.

For months there has been speculation that Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch the Throne album would drop on July 4th. Well, the only thing that lit up our ears and eyes that day were fireworks and the album’s cover art. The gold cover, designed by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci and said to be made of metal, doesn’t even bare the name of either artist or the title of the album. But, as hip-hop royalty, they are allowed to do whatever they want because no matter what, sense or nonsense, we will still be dropping all our cents on the album and counting down the seconds until it is released. According to super-producer Swizz Beatz, the dynamic duo brings on the heat like never before, stepping up their lyrical game as if they had not yet made it to kingdom status. We got a taste of what’s to come with the release of their first single, “H.A.M.” earlier this month. We can’t wait to serve up a nice thick slice of H.A.M. this summer. Really. We can’t wait…at all.
Release Date: August 2nd

If you're familiar with The Game's bio, you know that was he was a former member of the Bloods street gang. Judging by the album title and cover, it would seem fitting that this fourth album is paying homage to those roots, but in actuality, the title is short for "Rededicated," as in being rededicated to the things that take priority in The Game's life, like hip-hop, fans, family, Los Angeles, etc. The R.E.D. Album marks the ultimate return of the rapper, as he said he was going to retire after his third album. It also marks his return to Interscope, the label that released his first album before beef with 50 Cent caused him to release his two subsequent LP's on Geffen. According to The Game, The R.E.D. Album is his most lyrical to date, with songs that are big, melodic, and raw. It's the "raw" part that really screams comeback since hip-hop in general is in dire need of a game change-- some good old-fashioned gangsta rap. This album has been a project in the making since 2009, but the cameos and production team could more than make up for the delay, with features from Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, and Lupe Fiasco, along with production with Cool & Dre, The Neptunes, and a reunion with West Coast cronies Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. There is no doubt The Game's beats are about to be the hardest and hottest to hit the streets this summer.
