My Morning Jacket will play the Palace Theater in Louisville, Kentucky on May 31st to commemorate the release of their new album Circuital, released the same day. TIckets went quick, but the band just extended the invitation to the whole world. Yesterday they announced through the band's website that the concert would be filmed as part of the Unstaged series under the guiding lens of none other than acclaimed director Todd Haynes.
Haynes is an inspired choice as he has directed such films as Velvet Goldmine and I'm Not There for cinephiles and music lovers alike. Past collaborations in American Express' Unstaged series have included Spike Lee and John Legend with the Roots, Terry Gilliam with Arcade Fire, and David Lynch with Duran Duran.
Tune in to Youtube on May 31st at 9:00 pm EST to watch the full concert.
