Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce Album Title

The Chili Peppers are almost done recording their new album, which will be released later this year. In a recent interview with Spin, Anthony Kiedis mentioned that the new album is tentatively titled: Dr Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head.

The long, mind-boggling title was actually created by Kiedis' friend a long time ago, while on an acid-trip. "He was reminiscing about one of his legendary acid trips," Anthony said, "and told us that he had been playing a sold-out show to the planets and moons, and his Number One hit was, well, that title."

Quite a mouthful, but definitely fits the band.

Kiedis also said that the band is exploring “a whole new dynamic," and that Flea has been learning the piano, and studying music, while new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer, traveled to Africa to get inspiration for the record.
