Though Lollapalooza has released the headliners for its first international festival, Lollapalozza Chili, it has not officially released the lineup for the original festival. That has not stopped numerous music news sites from releasing the rumored headliners for the music festival.
Lollapalooza takes place over three days, August 5th thru the 7th, in Chicago. It boasts about seventy artists spread out over five stages, and numerous after parties. "Reliable sources" have revealed to Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot the headliners: Eminem, Muse, and The Foo Fighters.
For Eminem a performance at this festival of this caliber is icing on his comeback cake; the home field advantage is an extra bonus. Eminem has cut back on touring in the past several years as he battled to recover from his pill addiction. Lollapalooza gives him the rare opportunity to perform in front of a large number of people.
The Foo Fighters are releasing their latest album, still untitled, April 12. Performing at Lollapalooza is undoubtedly a way to promote the album. Muse, has already headlined Lollapalooza, and is known for putting out a great show.
Other performers at the festival will be Girl Talk, Lykke Li, Best Coast, and Crystal Castles. All of these performers are hot in the music scene right now.
