A true summer playlist wouldn't be complete without a few tracks from everyone's favorite California girl, pop princesss Katy Perry. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)" from her 2010 album Teenage Dream, gets a dose of John Hughes-esque filmography in Perry's latest video. The video is more of a mini-movie that pays homage to all things 80's and 90's-- big hair, neon colors, big glasses, and Corey Feldman from award-winning movies like Stand by Me, The Goonies, and The Lost Boys. 

Perry acts out the classic geek-to-chic story as she gets made over by her best friend (Rebecca Black, star of the controversial video "Friday," which now has over 160 million views on YouTube) for a party.  Nerdy, brace-face Perry transforms into her alter ego Kathy Beth Terry and rages the night away throughout a series of the Hangover-ish moments.
