Jason Wu + NEST Fragrances

Just when we thought the buzz around Jason Wu couldn’t get any bigger—due to the designer’s much anticipated collection for Target—it does! In a brand new design direction, we find out Wu is also collaborating with NEST Fragrances on a signature candle scent. So not only will our apts look better thanks to all that Jason Wu apparel, they’ll smell better too! The scent is Orchard Rain, a fragrance that combines pear with cattleya orchid, Birchwood, leather and peppercorn. The candles can be found at department stores like Neiman Marcus and Saks starting in April; Orchard Rain is just the first in a series of luxurious scents. Should we expect more Jason Wu diffusion lines in the future? “I think the home market is something I’m really interested in. Also the beauty market. I think Nest sort of crosses the line between both markets,” he said. “So it seems to be the perfect introduction.”

Bass + Rachel Antonoff

The whimsical designer teams up with all-American footwear brand Bass to bring us an adorable, affordable Spring/Summer collection. Not even a month into the New Year and we’re already longing for warm, sunny afternoons. With fashion like this to look forward to—how could we not! The vintage-inspired collection combines our favorite classics: saddle shoes and loafers, with updated design: clear and patent ballet flats, wedges, and stacked heals. We love the mix of traditional black, white, and nude and carefree rainbow brights, polka dots, and glitter! If you aren’t convinced that this will be the most fun collaboration of the season—check out the Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff lookbook. Comedienne Jenny Slate spends a sunny day along a beachside boardwalk in all our favorite pairs. Here’s to summertime!

Karen Walker + Anthropologie

Just announced on Monday, we are super excited for Karen Walker’s diffusion line Hi There from Karen Walker. Sold exclusively by our favorite eclectic retailer, Anthropologie, the collection will arrive in 164 stores this March. The lookbook has been released and there’s lots of bright red, polka dots, and stripes—everything you need for the perfect warm weather wardrobe. There will also be a ton of flirty spring dresses and pleated skirts in Karen’s signature retro style and super fun prints. Although the Karen Walker ready to wear line is sold in high-end department stores worldwide, this is the first opportunity for the designer to reach a different market of fans. "We've been in the luxury market for 14 years, but this reaches a wider audience," Walker told the New Zealand Herald,” ... [it's] a totally different price point, a totally different product and it's really our first time in the States going en masse."

UNIQLO Innovation Project

Creating fashion for the future, UNIQLO debuted the second collection for their Innovation Project—design that combines functionality and universality—on Monday. The collaboration between super stylist Nicola Formichetti, Uniqlo's Creative Director Kashiwa Sato, and Design Director Naoki Takizawa is all about making “innovative basics” that are comfortable, durable, and stylishly detailed. Ultimately an activewear collection, the apparel features textile technology like wind proof, anti-microbial, and water resistant fabrics. Following the sold-out premiere collection of down parkas and warm jackets, lighter weights and brighter colors have arrived for spring. Although most of the line has hit the 5th Avenue and 34th Street stores, more designs will roll out through February. We’re loving the neon hues, contrasting trims, and styles perfect for combating spring showers and everyday performance wear.

Also, don’t forget these exciting collabs—Doo.Ri for Macy’s, Jason Wu for Target, and Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton—you may (or may not) have already heard about!
