Juicy Couture shows us just how much L.A. loves London with this season’s Fall 2012 collection. “Sunset Strip in the seventies meets London mod squad,” as described by Chief Creative Office LeAnn Nealz, inspired tried and true prints, sophisticated ready to wear, and a colorful palette—all alongside their usual fun-loving sportswear.
From business to extra-curricular, Juicy Couture has it covered this season. Sharp, tailored blazers are paired with sensible, colorblocked pencil skirts and semi-serious (due to their vibrant array of colors) cashmere v-neck sweaters. Graphic tees and sweatshirts—leopard in a jeweled collar? Yes, please!—kept the ready to wear from being all work and no play. Skinny jeans and leggings are right on trend for fall in coated metallic, leather inset, and lace paneled variations.
Prints pay tribute to the traditional Ivy League style with English Snaffle, Mayfair Paisley, plaid, and argyle all present. Red, white, and blue combinations have a heavy hand in the collection until the bright yellow contrast in the Eton Plaid. The season’s floral prints can hardly be ignored, especially the bold Garden Pansies that, in suit form, were a head-to-toe blanket of fresh blooms.

Sweet accessories shared a similar wild side. Juicy’s signature heart charm swung from chunky linked necklaces, leopards and zebras wrapped wrists bangle style, and encrusted rhinestone pendants added a finishing touch of bling. Handbags and satchels appeared in exotic leopard print, python, and feathers.
Ultimately, the best part of every Juicy Couture collection has to be the party, er, presentation. Located at the Academy Mansion, a venue Juicy hopes to call home to their presentations from now on, the collection debuted against hot pink painted walls complete with Juicy Couture logos. Guests mingled between three rooms of models arranged on raised platform pedestals, while Juicy men passed champagne, cocktails, and “Juicy Café” mini cheeseburgers and fries. The guest list was beyond impressive per usual, including Emma Roberts, Anna Faris, and Kate Mara among a roster of industry elite.
