Former jewelry designer, Kimberly McDonald is known for her unique and natural looking jewelry designs and just recently started to expand her creative expertise into the world of home decor. Her jewelry collection is carried in high end retail stores such as Bergdorf Goodman and the jewelry collection is largely based upon agate and geodes stones. Her rock obsession began when she was a child and she used to collect these beautiful stones in her driveway at her home in Wisconsin.

“With the jewelry, since everything is made and designed by hand, there aren’t a lot of repeatable things. It struck me that there would always be a limitation to what we could do, which is a good thing. We explored other options of how to parlay that bespoke, organic but very fine design into other areas of lifestyle, so it was a natural transition to put those pieces into these trays and boxes," says McDonald.

Since her jewelry line is such a success, she thought she'd try her luck with a home decorating line. The collection features scarves, pillows, agate-based lamps, Lucite boxes, napkin rings and paper weights. McDonald's line will be launching in September at Bergdorf Goodman and Forty Five Ten. The prices for the collection range from $155 to $7,500.
