We loved Ciaté's Caviar Manicure in the spring, now a softer look has emerged for the upcoming autumn. Ciaté's Velvet Manicure kit includes a beautiful jewel-toned lacquer and a bottle of crushed velvet fibers that are sprinkled over wet nails. The end result? A deep, luxurious color with a lush and plush velvet finish.

While the shatter effect is still a favorite way to combine two colors among many, we love this new multicolored look for summer: gradient nails. Gradient nails look more difficult to achieve than they actually are, giving your manicure a statement-making look without much effort. By just using a sponge and two colors, you can personalize your nails to match any outfit, mood, or event!

OPI's Black Spotted is the newest craze in nails yet it is almost impossible to lay your hands on. The Black Spotted nail polish, currently being sold exclusively in France, is only accessible to US citizens through bidding on auction sites such as EBay with selling prices as high at $70. It's easy to see why this lacquer is lusted after: the polish creates a marbling effect with all of the shine needed to make your nails look artistically glamorous.
Perhaps the most baffling nail trend is Azature's Black Diamond nail polish. Azature, a jewelry couturier, is producing bottles of nail polish which contain 267 carats of black diamonds. While this polish is fit for a meeting with the queen, its $250,000 price tag certainly makes this manicure a splurge for beauty. Diamond fanatics who want the look without having to empty their wallets can get the upcoming department store version of Azature's lacquer (with one black diamond in each bottle!) for $25 at Fred Segal.
