The only thing better than reality TV? Fashion reality TV!
One of our new favorites All On The Line, returns for its second season this Friday, November 25th.
If you’re not familiar with the show, we promise you, you won’t want to miss this season!
Featuring the Creative Director of ELLE Magazine, Joe Zee, the show which has been named a “must- see” by the Huffington Post, chronicles Zee as he reaches out to designers on the brink of failure, whether it be up-and-coming labels or those already known throughout the industry. In his succinct and to-the-point, yet warm and approachable style, Zee holds nothing back . Dishing out his expert and so spot-on advice, he lights a fire and delivers the reality check that if the designers do not change their ways, they will fail.
What sets this show apart is that it shows the alternate side of the fashion industry, the side that’s not all glitz, glamour, and fabulous parties...and where failure is a reality. Tackling many of the behind-the-scenes issues such as production, budgeting, toxic employees, or even challenging designers to re-vamp their point of view altogether, the message is clear - this is their last shot to make it. We say this is fashion rehab at its finest!
Rather than a $10,000 prize, the designers on this show are offered the chance at something truly invaluable - the ability to keep their line, and livelihood alive. By offering the designers the chance to meet with and show their new collections to buyers from major retailers (Neiman Marcus, Intermix, Nordstrom and Saks just to name a few!), Zee offers the designers the chance to turn over a new leaf and breathe new life into their labels...should they heed his advice and get picked up by stores, that is.
An article feature in elle.com doesn’t hurt either! Season One saw the reinvention of Kara Janx (of Project Runway fame), Radenroro and Dana-Maxx to name a few, so we can’t wait to see what Season Two has in store. Rumor has it this season will feature guest appearances by Rachel Roy, Olivia Palermo and the design duo behind Badgely Mischka, among others.
