Because we tend to spend quite a bit of time incessantly jibber-jabbing about what's walking down the mainstreets in high fashion, it's easy to miss the fashion and culture out to play in the side streets. The kind of fashion we're talking about has a booming base in its speakers, and pumped up kicks dressed to impress and ready to party. So we'd like to invite you to meet seven fresh accessory brands you may not have heard of yet.
Onch Movement comes to us via LA as a choice accessory brand for young hot Hollywood stars like Kate Moss and Paris Hilton. It probably has the most delicious designs on our list because the pieces feature every delectable treat from friend chicken and bacon, to pill candies and ice cream. In fact, you've probably already seen said ice cream around the neck of Nicki Minaj as apart of her MTV VMA "ensemble" a few short months ago. The Onch Movement ice cream cone was in everyone's mouth the next day, so to speak, but it's only a small portion of what the brand has to offer.

Neivz jewelry also comes to us from LA and is, surprise surprise, already popular among young Hollywood A-listers like Katy Perry, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and even Tavi Gevinson. The brand takes cues from pop culture to create "super graphic, over the top, and often cheeky" jewelry collections. Neivz jewelry really spoke to us and we loved the fun things it had to say, like "Dude You're Gonna Need Way More Money."

Funky Bling is pretty self explanatory, but you should know a little more about the New York brand born and bred in Soho. Designed to the eclectic tastes of the contemporary woman, Funky Bling accessories are all about bright, high contrast neons, glittering gems and studs, and quirky mottoes in new wave urban and futuristic punk aesthetics. Although, with the options Funky Bling offers to customize and personalize pieces, you can set your dial anywhere in the in-between to represent your style spot on.

Adeen is a New York based accessory brand from lower east side native Rembrandt Duran, aka Remy, who is endeavoring to bring ""fun" and love back into the world of fashion." And since he believes "Fashion and style shouldn't be a look but a feeling," the latest feeling he is evoking is that of Saturday morning cartoons with his line Saturday. Captain Crunch anyone?

Artaya by Dana Ayanna Greaves comes to us from DC, but incorporates design influences from China, South Africa, and the Caribbean. These multicultural nods are manifested in pieces of playful but sophisticated prints and textures that have been featured by The Today Show, Travel and Leisure Magazine, and Lucky Magazine. The attention from media is only one of several accomplishments for the brand, which also produces apparel. But would you expect any less from a line that's made for "bohemian bosses?"

Badacious accessories were New York born by two Japanese designers, and were recently spotted dangling from the ears of Adrienne Bailon this past Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Adrienne was sporting a pretty bad pair of colorful print doorknocker style earrings by Badacious. The crazy retro-inspired designs are reminiscent of the fliest parts of the 90s.

Candy Precious comes to us from Belgium by way of the internet to bring you a limited selection of 80s and African American inspired pieces depicting the iconic mugs of individuals like Grace Jones, Spike Lee, and Bart Simpson. The boutique's vintage vibe accessories are another go-to for anyone looking for throwback finds to style with updated or backdated looks.

These new wave pop color accessory brands are a loud reminder of how fun fashion can be. And sometimes how necessary in a market stuck in the doldrums. Don't decide that this style is not for you just yet, with closer inspection you might just find something to suit your taste whether it's crazy, sexy, or cool.
