She’s still got it. In the saucy September travel-themed issue of V Magazine, Nicole Kidman reveals much more than the plot to her upcoming movie, The Paperboy (where she pees on Zac Efron in a scene). The 45-year-old actress literally bares all in a bottom-bearing black skirt and a pair of sexy black stilettos on the fold out cover. Styled by Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele, the mother of three seems more than confident channeling a retro 1980's-inspired look that totally reminds us of a gorgeous Meg Ryan pre-fillers. The exciting photo shoot with famed photographer, Mario Testino, is already generating buzz on the internet, a week before the issue hits stands on Aug. 30.
In the sultry photos, the actress debuts a short and shaggy Rachel Hunter haircut and little else, aside from an alluring gaze. The revealing images prove that Kidman still has what it takes to sizzle under the flashbulbs of Hollywood. Not that we ever doubted the everlasting beauty of the A-list bombshell, however, there was a short time when her face seemed a tad frozen—just sayin’! Despite that unfortunate incident, Kidman has a relatively iconic track record for looking exquisite in demure, elegant, and ladylike ensembles on the red carpet.
Long gone are the days of girlish blonde curls and subtle doe-eyed makeup. This mother of three is taking the edgy look to the extreme, with tousled hair and smoky kohl-rimmed eyes. We can’t help but wonder if Kidman’s new look was inspired by her latest role in The Paperboy, where she plays a tawdry US southerner who is obsessed with writing to prisoners. The movie, which also stars Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey, is scheduled to hit cinemas on Oct. 5.
We’re excited to see if this new, edgy style follows her to the red carpet at the New York Film Festival gala held on Oct. 3 in her honor.
