Best known for her relation to her famous father, Lionel Richie, her wacko escapades with Paris Hilton, and her recent imprint in the fashion world, this reality show star turned fashion designer is dabbling in just another area of the industry by coming out with a fragrance this September.
Nicole revealed some details about her elegant new fragrance stating, "I have a very traditional Southern mom- you never left the house without lotion, it wasn't just a one-dimensional smell-there were many different layers.” She draws inspiration from her childhood where she recollects her mother using scents of blackberry, orange, sandalwood and patchouli.
Richie's perfume will be available in department stores and specialty stores in the U.S. while international markets such as Australia and the UK will also be selling the fragrance for a reasonable price of $55. She says she will still be focusing on her various clothing lines such as House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate. We are huge fans of the bottle itself and its intricate, chic, detailing. Nicole explains her mindset behind creating the elaborate look; "I wanted to create a very intricate bottle that was still elegant, but not so in-your-face girly." We can also expect to see shower gel and body lotion available in the fall! Though her future plans are not set in stone, Richie did admit that she hopes to create more fragrances in the future, as well as a rumored hair care line!
