Secretly admitting that the Fall 2006 Louis Vuitton pouch that Amber Rose wore during the Paris menswear shows with boyfriend Kanye West is highly desirable, everyone has been waiting patiently for PETA to fire off their attack against the couple and their fur obsession.
But how far is too far, when it comes to PETA?
PETA released the following statement on their official blog regarding the two:
"The prettiest people do the ugliest things / For the road to riches and diamond rings...We'll buy a lot of clothes but we don't really need 'em / Things we buy to cover up what's inside - Kanye West, 'All Falls Down'"
West apparently lives by his lyrics. The ethical dropout - who horrified voters in PETA's Worst-Dressed Celebrity competition last year - and his sleazy sidekick, Amber Rose, were snapped by paparazzi strutting around Paris in "the ugliest things" indeed. Both were wearing head-to-toe fur, and Amber refused to remove her full-length lynx coat during a show at Paris Men's Fashion Week.
PETA V.P. Dan Mathews stated that, "Kanye can't help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo."
Nicely put, Ingrid and staff - but "pathetic creatures"? The same creatures that you try so ardently to save? But, we'll leave a response up to Kanye and Amber.
Whether you love fur or not, it's highly entertaining to read user's comments on PETA's site. One user wrote:
"Reminds me of cavemen. Their bodies may be warm from all that fur but their hearts are still oh so cold. They look stupid. The fur was beautiful once upon a time. When the rightful owners were wearing it! This makes me sick. Just one more reason to dislike them."
Apparently if you were born in BC and are somehow still alive - you have PETA's permission.
