Black and red took to the stage surrounded by a gallivanting rendition of "Paris is Burning" in Ecliptica's runway show at The Union Square Ballroom. In preparation for the warmer months ahead, Ecliptica sister duo designers were ready to start the show with a black suede silk tank top with sequined shorts followed by a multi-sequin, multi-season, sheer silk crepe back dress. In a celebration of St. Valentine's Day, the young and energetic designers styled a collection of red silk velvet skirt dresses with low-draped shoulders and scores or ruffles.
The show concluded with four looks of black silk chiffon dresses with mesh organza adorned delicately with lace in a stunning attempt to express sophistication and craftsmanship. The designers for Ecliptica place extensive and expressive focus on thematic elements such as draping, embroidery, fringes and macramé. The duo sees each piece as part of a complete storyline while also illuminating the features of the model to create what is they deem to be "statuesque goddess appeal."
