With the launch of her clothing line and a fifth season picked up by Bravo for The Rachel Zoe Project, Zoe has proven she's an industry mainstay. Her latest collection which has a carefree, yet stylized vibe really has caught our eye over at Joonbug.
Recently, Rachel showcased her designs at a special fashion show, where she was able to interact with her devout followers and client base. "Our card members love Rachel," said Deborah Curtis, vice president of Entertainment Marketing & Sponsorships at American Express. "For her this is a consumer show, where she can really engage with her customer."
"I love that time period. I love the music, the cool, the ease, the style and the glamour. It's what I wear. It's how I think. It's how I feel as a designer," adds Zoe. The new collection influenced by 60's and 70's icons such as Jane Birkin and Bridgette Bardot was stylized with floppy hats and studded leather handbags. Flowing chiffon fabrics, wearble yet uber stylish silouttes that flatter various body-types were profound. There were also mod touches in the collection as well, with black & white pieces, such as a color-blocked shift-dress. With this collection you look amazing, without looking as if you tried too hard and that's what we love about it!
I also had the opportunity to chat with Rachel at Piperlime in Soho and she met with every single person that came out to see her. We've also heard that she will re-style her looks up to 4 times before they hit a runway. Her latest collection has truly captured her amazing sense of style.
Zoe stays humble and admits that "Designers are my celebrities. I get starstruck still."
