Rodarte’s avant-garde designs never  leave us bored. From their crazy cut-outs to their carved wooden heels, this design house knows how to keep its followers on the edge of their seats. So it's no surprise that the  Mulleavy sisters have whipped up something interesting for our eyes yet again with their latest shoe collection filled with sand, literally!

The collection was inspired by Australian landscapes. Their view of the dry, desert countryside from the 'land down under' has transformed beautifully into high-end footwear. The collection will consist of boots, booties, and chunky heels all wrapped in a mixture of earthy tones with the actual heels containing molded resin with layers of colored sand. This, they explained to Marie Claire, was their way of referencing “…the amazing layers of earth in the landscape.”
