Spring into Summer with these Wardrobe Must-Haves
Warm weather essentials every girl should have this season!

We might not know how to change a flat tire or what to do when our i-Phone stops working, but when it comes to our wardrobes, a true fashionista is always prepared.  Glam Damn It's list of favorite wardrobe must-haves for Spring 2012 will leave you ready to take over the world! (Or, at least your own closet.)  There are so many great options this season, whether you're looking to reinvent your style or just update your handbag.

The keywords for right now are girly and bright.  Soft lines, versatile pieces and low-maintenance fabrics combined with a color palette encompassing nearly every shade under the rainbow make dressing for Spring 2012 a breeze no matter what your sartorial preference is.

Chiffon Back Blazer- Green by Nasty Gal, $68

The Neon Blazer- NastyGal offers colors like blue and (the super popular) coral. Our favorite is the neon green option.  We love the gathered sleeves on this blazer and it’s only $68!

The French Sailor Sweater- This classic look hasn't really gone away since it first hit the fashion scene thanks to Coco Chanel in the 1920's.  We love the latest cashmere version from J.Crew for its thin stripes, classic colors and high quality Italian fabric.  Hey, if it's going to be in style forever you might as well make an investment.

The Girly Cardigan- A lightweight, loose knit cardigan in a muted color will work its way into many outfits and keep you warm without suffocating you on balmy nights. We love the Wildfox Couture Manhattan Cardigan because it can literally be thrown over anything, from a maxi dress to our swimsuit.

Cutout Back Romper by Forever21, $14.50

The Romper- While it may not seem so at first, the romper trend is actually quite versatile.  It looks adorable on women tall, short, thin and curvy alike.  The key is making sure you have a loose fit (and a strapless bra if needed) - especially in the inseam.  A romper can generally be one size larger than your usual jeans.  We love them in a bright, busy print, like this one from Forever 21, paired with our girly cardigan and some platform wedges.

The Peter Pan Collar Blouse- We love this one from Topshop, as it transitions easily from a workday with a blazer on top, to an evening out. This girly style is great for pairing with something a little more masculine, like structured trousers and loafers.

Bright, boxy bags- One of our favorite trends this season is the bright, boxy handbag. Most of the bags encompassing this trend have an optional shoulder strap and come in a variety of sizes; you only have to choose which works best for you. Our favorite is neon leather with simple hardware, like this one from Zara

Douglas Tank Swoosh by Whitney Eve, $50

The Graphic Tank- While the graphic trend was big last spring as well, we are still predicting it to make a comeback this season. Depending on the fabric, the graphic print can be worn in both casual and formal occasions. A spring staple, like this super cute tank from Whitney Eve, is a great transition piece to take from spring to summer.

Boat Shoes- Another classic to add to the list, we can’t resist our favorite summer standby: Sperry Top Siders. STS’s have made the leap in recent years to the feet of fashionistas everywhere and are always an essential for going to the Hamptons. The preppy, masculine shoe provides a great contrast to a flirty sundress or denim cut-offs.

Vintage-Inspired Sunglasses- Last Spring/Summer, we died for Tom Ford’s “Nikita” sunglasses and thankfully, this year we can have another go for this universally flattering frame. Tiffany & Co launched their sunglasses line this year and it pays tribute to their rich history with the latest collection, via the Victoria Cat Eye and the Tiffany Garden Sunglasses.
