Style Stalker: Solange Knowles

In the past few years Solange Knowles has become known for her spunkier attitude, and marching slightly off beat to the drums of her dancey diva sister Beyonce.  And in these same years, Solange has accomplished what few siblings of superstars do – develop her own star power.  Maybe it was her dip into djing, which is unfortunately scarce of females.  Or maybe it was the daring chop of her mane to grow her hair out naturally. Truthfully, all of the above have added to her celebrity allure.  But what we’ve come to love her for most is her great sense of style and growing presence as an IT girl in fashion.

Her she is at a Net-A-Porter hosted party for Dolce and Gabbana this summer, looking and feeling very 90s cool with her leggings and "Poetic Justice" style braids.  Janet Jackson should be proud.

At a Fashion Week Party hosted by Total Management this September.  No stranger to color, brights look great against her skin, and she makes it a point to wear them often.

Outside of the Band Of Outsiders spring 2012 NY MBFW show wearing casual but chic separates.  Hope she got someone to snap a pic of her outfit with that camera!

At the J. Crew NY Fashion Week spring 2012 presentation with her pregnant sis Beyonce.  We loved Solange in these clean cuts and crisp colors that gave her an ultra pristine look juxtaposed with her wild fro.

At Cloe Sevigny's spring 2012 show for Paris Fashion Week, wearing a mix of stripes and prints. Solange seems to have an affinity for mixing patterns in a way us mortals would only dream.

Beyonce might have granted her access, but Solange's style report card proves she deserves it in addition to wearing it well.  We can't wait to see how she graduates her fashion in the future!
