Though it might not be your first choice for warm weather, leather was all over the runways for Resort 2013. So ease it into your wardrobe as temperatures drop in the upcoming months and it will be your go-to trend to hold you over between Fall and Spring. We saw this tough textile make appearances in shorts, shifts, and even short sleeve shirts.

Bright, all-over prints made a big statement throughout global runways this season. Designers like Cavalli, Anna Sui, and Givenchy took to multi-hued, bold, look-at-me prints on everything from suits to evening dresses.

The androgynous look, in the form of power suits, was a popular trend on runways this season. We saw them in deep, saturated colors, various materials, and in sporty versions accessorized with sweatbands and athletic footwear. Snip snip. Designers had their scissors out this season, making cut outs one of the sexiest trends on the runways. The trend was most apparent on dresses—from day dresses to the most elegant cocktail looks—sexy glimpses of skin were everywhere!
