The Ankar Men of Fall 2012
Bright colors, plaid, and a laid back vibe at Ankar Sweden

Ankar Sweden A/W '12 Collection at the Empire Hotel Rooftop

The presentation of the Ankar Sweden autumn/winter 2012 collection was a great way to start the 6th day

of fashion week. The event took place at the Empire Hotel’s rooftop lounge, with a cozy environment, a breakfast buffet, and subtly upbeat music, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Ankar and his co-host, Cator Sparks, were there to greet guests while all were observing the long, lean men standing on pedestals around the room. A calm and friendly presentation was exactly what the doctor ordered to start wrapping up fashion week. Guests lounged on couches while discussing the collection over breakfast and tea, while natural light filled the room framed with glass windows.

Ankar Sweden A/W '12 Collection

Ankar Sweden’s A/W ’12 collection was pure east-coast class at its finest, with plaid trousers, corduroys, well-tailored blazers, and crisp pocket-folded handkerchiefs. Every inch of each style was completely thought out --down to the socks each model was wearing.  Bright and dark colors were perfectly matched to make a statement, but not a loud one. Bright yellow, red, and green plaid slacks were paired with navy blazers and dark brown oxfords. Bright orange cords were mixed with baby blue button downs and rich purple socks. Needless to say, we foresee bright and colorful trousers being a big hit in menswear this coming fall.

Ankar’s collection tells the story of a man with effortless poise, elegance and sophistication. This vision was beautifully translated with his great combinations of cashmere sweaters, tartan morning coats, and fantastic separates (and the tall, dark and handsome displays for the collection were a great touch too!).

Being an Ankar Man is more than just dressing well, it's a lifestyle.
