Yvan Rodic, the 34-year-old photographer and creative genius behind Face Hunter, never intended on changing the way fashion is seen when he started his blog back in 2006. Now, with two web sites, a published book of his photographs, a web TV show, and lectures all over the globe, he sees things differently.
Rodic started out as a copywriter living in Paris when one day he decided to take photographs of the interesting sites around him. He decided to share those photos on his blog in January 2006, not expecting for it to become a full time job.
Rodic is quoted as saying, “My life has completely changed. When I first started, I had a normal job, lived in one city, and everything was standard. Now it’s getting completely surreal.”
The focus of Face Hunter is to display individuals with interesting personal style. The goal of his work is to showcase emerging talents in different parts of the world, as well as to get involved in documentary television and films. He has expressed that he doesn’t necessarily want to be “just another fashion photographer.” He is, however, quite good at it. And he knows a thing or two about fashion with Dries Van Noten and Lanvin lined up as some of his favorite designers. Strangely for someone in his business, he is opposed to trends, having said he thinks they have a negative connotation. “By definition a trend is something you’ve already seen too many times…I’m looking for individuality in my work.”

So what’s next for Mr. Rodic? His latest venture is a new web site under his own name Yvan Rodic, which is essentially a visual diary of his travels. Here he documents the different people he meets in all the interesting places he travels.
We are huge fans of Rodic's work and are confident that his talents are only going to get stronger and more original in the fashion world.
