This Fall: Think Texture
Take a hint from J. Crew's fall collection, which features furry vests, tweed coats and sequins.

We know, we know: when it’s 100 degrees outside, no one wants to think about fall and winter clothing. But after looking through the newly released J. Crew Fall 2010 look book, this post really couldn’t wait.

Everyone has predicted that texture would be big this fall; what we didn’t expect was for all this texture to look so good together! J. Crew has inspired us once again to play with different prints, patterns and materials by layering and mixing. A denim vest over a gray hoodie with military boots and ... sequin pants? Love it. The menswear trend will continue with oxford shoes, rugged military jackets and tweed trousers, but J. Crew knows how to do it right by adding soft feminine details like flowers to leather purses and newsboy caps, fur trims to jackets, embellished necklaces and pretty polka dots.
