Here are six of the newest recruits!
Where: 1504 Lexington Ave
A self-proclaimed “Neighborhood Wine & Food Bar”, ABV (which stands for alcohol by volume), offers a quaint ambiance chock full of ample wine and eclectic culinary fare. Seemingly endless wine options go hand in hand with a menu sporting Tapas-esque creations like “Tartare Pizza” and “Foie Gras Fluffernutter." A homey, fairly priced bar for those in the market for a casually decadent evening!

Where: 4476 Broadway
A “west meets east” Korean-American fusion, this gastro pub lives true to its name! Sporting an impressive cornucopia of 24 taps—ranging from “Delirium Tremens” to “Tyskie Gronie”—the Buddha seems intent of providing guests with an international beer-consuming experience. Complimenting this burgeoning brew-haven is a solid array of apps and burgers to satiate any alcohol-induced cravings!

Where: 321 W. 44th St.
A beer lover’s paradise! The NYBC firmly establishes itself in the upper ranks of NYC Brewtopias with its offering of 40 taps, 50 bottle varieties, and custom-made “table-taps”—the ultimate brew-imbibing experience! Further goodness includes: custom beer flight options (aka, make your own beer sampler), and a constantly streaming “Beer Market” (ala, the NYSE), complete with flashing and ever-fluctuating beer prices reminiscent of its Wall Street counterpart. Rumor has it that said “Beer Market” occasionally, yet fortuitously “crashes," thereby providing fleetingly obscene cheap beer prices—take that 1 per centers!

Where: 249 Fifth Ave., Brooklyn
The latest in a nation-wide chain largely marketed towards the female demographic; the Beauty Bar is infamous for its classic, $10 daily special, entitled “Martini’s & Manicures." This salon turned “saloon” is known for its melding of funky, bygone salon décor and female-friendly vibe—beautify while you intoxicate!
Where: 594 Union Ave
Out in Williamsburg, The Bellweather arrives touting a richly creative seafood-heavy menu and exquisite cocktails. Such liquid concoctions entitled “Hot Scotch," “Good Girl Plymouth," and “Fire Bird," largely encapsulate the unique vibe over at Bellweather. At night, the party extends beyond the grub, with resident DJ sensation “No Ordinary Monkey” supplying the tunes several nights a week.
Where: 512 W. 42nd St
Raging tunes, ample muscle, and daily cabaret make XL—the new joint in self-proclaimed “gaytroplis resort” The Out—a promising new venue. Packing fantastic tunes, bottle service, and a slew of guest appearances (including the likes of RuPaul and Alan Cumming), XL offers a medley of experience in its convenient Hell’s Kitchen locale!
