There is a little something to say about seeing a movie before it officially comes out.  There is a privileged sort of feeling that goes along with it.  Anytime you are able to see something that the masses can't see or do, it just resonates a little more.  I was fortunate enough to do this last week. Director Michael Morrissey flew in the cast to debut his new psychological thriller "Boy Wonder" in NYC with producer John Scaccia at the Producers Guild of America East.

The private screening featured director Morrissey's feature which has won at least 10 awards at film festivals around the country. Boy Wonder was also screened over the weekend at New York Comic Con.  The film stars actors Caleb Steinmeyer and Zulay Henao.

After the screening, the cast, producers, and lucky screeners celebrated the preview event at CO-OP Food & Drink.  Notable guests include Leesa Rowland, R. Couri Hay, and Ashley Turen.

Boy Wonder is the story of a young Brooklyn boy who witnesses his mother's murder.  Obsessed with finding the individual responsible for her death, he takes to the streets at night in search of justice. The story makes the viewer decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong.  Think kick ass but with a much more serious undertone (and without the silly green outfit). The film was shot on location in Brooklyn so for those natives you might see a ton of familiar spots. Boy Wonder comes out at the Loews AMC Village 7 this Friday 10/21. It also hits VOD on 10/25 and is out DVD on 11/8.
