This December marks the 10th anniversary of Art Basel in Miami, one of the most prestigious and popular art shows in America. Over 260 galleries from all corners of the globe will display works by over 2,000 artists. But it goes beyond just viewing some great art - there's a slew of events, music, food and parties that all celebrate the spirit of Basel.
Art Basel Miami Beach's main event takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center December 1st-4th. Here's an A-Z list of galleries that are participating. This is a truly multi-cultural collection featuring art from New York, Paris, London, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Zurich, Beijing, Rio de Janeiro and many more.

Art Public is free and open to the public all day. The collection features outdoor sculptures, interactive performances, site specific installations, and public artworks within an open and public exhibition format in Collins Park. Check in at the Bass Museum of Art for guided tours daily at 12.30pm, 2.30pm, and 4.30pm.

Complimentary Shuttle Service: PULSE will offer a shuttle service operating between The Lowes Hotel Miami Beach, The Convention Center, and The Ice Palace throughout the duration of the show. Arts for a Better World
Having established itself during its Art Week 2010 debut as the first international art show with a unifying message, Arts For A Better World (AFABW) will stage its second edition during the first week of December. AFABW will take place at the historic Surfcomber Hotel on Miami Beach, just two blocks east of Art Basel Miami Beach. Galleries will exhibit works in a 20,000-square-foot tented space, hosting more than 20 galleries showcasing works by international artists. Each gallery is hand-selected by a highly experienced team of curators and fine art advisors, Sebastien Laboureau and Martin Gerlier from Moonstar Fine Arts Advisors, to fulfill a clear curatorial statement based on the illustration of their desire to contribute to A Better World. AFABW exhibitors include Taglialatella Galleries of New York, Paris and Palm Beach; Art +, Shanghai; Christopher Paschall, Bogota; Mark Hachem, New York, Paris; and art(n), Chicago.

Aleloop
During Art Basel 2011, pop-surrealist artist Aleloop is presenting a one-of-a-kind interactive Mobile Art Installation. From December 1st – 4th, a caravan of 10 MINI Coopers wrapped with Aleloop’s hip, happy & playful art will be traveling through Miami & Miami Beach in the heart of the Art Basel action, making scheduled stops at the most popular art fairs, parties, galleries and restaurants. At each stop, 40 energetic performers will pop out of the colorful cars creating a multi-sensory Flash Mob around the Aleloop MINIs.
A film crew will be documenting the entire Aleloop experience for "The Making of a Spectacle, a Documentary,” that will chronicle this non-traditional traveling installation. The 10 MINI Coopers will feature thematically designed artwork with whimsical characters created by Aleloop with their own personalities and stories. Featured themes include: Fine Arts, Grunge, Video Game, DJ, MINI ME, Free Hand, Comics, Pattern, Driver and Nature.
Graffiti Gone Global

Graffiti Gone Global announces its fifth consecutive exhibition of urban contemporary art and design, running parallel to Art Basel Miami Beach. This year’s show presents the designs of famed architect Marc Fornes, accomplished designer and architect Volkan Alkanoglu, creative artist and curator Billi Kid, innovative digital agency Branger_Briz and the work of other prominent artists who have challenged and continue to challenge the status quo in urban contemporary art and design. The inventiveness that permeates their respective processes of design – from their original visions to the unique methodologies they employ in the fabrication of their work – reflect the philosophy upon which GGG was founded.

Luxe design showplace NEST, along with owner Sara Colombo, will debut “Jazz & Models,” a collection of works by legendary photographer Marco Glaviano, during Art Basel Miami Beach. Glaviano is recognized as a pioneer in fashion photography having photographed more than 500 covers and editorials for the most prestigious international publications including Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar, among others.
“Jazz & Models” features 26 images spanning Glaviano’s career from the 1970’s until today. Capturing and combining his love for jazz and his eye for beauty – Glaviano is notably recognized as an influential force in developing the supermodel phenomenon in the 1980’s – the exhibit will showcase photography of supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigová, Paulina Porizkova and Stephanie Seymour, and legendary jazz musicians such as Chet Baker, Sonny Rollins and Dizzy Gillespie. The exhibit will remain open until spring 2012.

Videodrome | Soundscape Park

Each night in front of the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center, art films selected by David Gryn, director of London’s Artprojx, will be screened on the building’s 7,000-square-foot outdoor projection wall. Plop down in SoundScape Park for front-row seats to video works by Tracey Emin, Slater Bradley, Ryan McGinley, Marilyn Minter and others.
