Miami's Design District is soon to have one more Fancy Furniture showroom as part of its collection. Kreiss, a fourth-gen family business famed for creating the "California Look" will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Tuesday, January 10th from 7-9 PM. In addition to being the first to peruse their three new collections, guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and sip eco-conscious cocktails courtesy of VeeV. Kreiss is favored by countless celebs and their handmade furniture, fabrics and fine linens can be found in the homes of Mariah Carey, Michael Jordan, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Heather Locklear, Simon Cowell, Usher, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart and Bruce Springsteen. 

The event will be hosted by former NBA allstar baller and philanthropist Alonzo Mourning and will benefit a charitable organization he and his wife Tracy established in 2002 called the Honey Shine Mentoring Program. The program's mission is to encourage values like knowledge, responsibility, values & faith in young girls so they have the confidence to 'shine as women.'

Young ladies between 8 and 18 from economically and socially challenged communities that participate in the program's workshops and camps are affectionately referred to as 'Honey Bugs.'
