You would be surprised how many people go out on Monday nights in NYC. It's arguably the favorite night to go out for many New Yorkers. Most people might think: "don't these people have to work in the AM?" And yes most of them do.  How people stay out till 4am and then go to work at 8am remains a mystery to me.  Monday-Thursday nights are my favorite nights to go out in the city.  The clubs on the weekends are filled with riff raff and amateurs, the streets are filled with puke and it's very likely you will see a random shoe (yes, just one shoe) on the ground. This past Monday I had dinner at Catch, the new EMM group venue in the meat packing and then went to the lounge upstairs. 

Catch is definitely the new hotspot.  The dining room was packed, not one empty table. It's good on any night but it has taken over as the place to go on Monday nights. Just a few Mondays ago Diddy, Cameron Diaz and so many other Celebs were there partying. The food is really amazing; my fav on the menu is the crab stuffed calamari and the dungeness crab spaghetti.  Everything is good, you can't go wrong with anything you order. I think I have decided that my new Monday night ritual will be going to Catch. 

Sadly, I will be leaving NYC for a few weeks.  I will be in Miami this weekend, then I'm off to Boracay, Philippines.  Boracay is rated #2 travel destination in the world and also won tripadvisors.com travelers choice award for 2011. I'm really excited to be heading to paradise in a few days.  I will def keep you all posted on my adventures.
