Monday
Wine School
When: Monday, March 5th: 6pm
Where: City Winery
Must the fickle omnibus of boisterous joviality always arrive in the form of thundering tuneage and overflowing liquid consolations? Fret not, for those in the market for an evening of intellectual stimulation—conveniently paired with liberal alcohol consumption, of course—than check out the City Winery’s monthly wine seminar. $70 secures your spot in this month’s incarnation, focusing specifically on “White Wine Vinification”—aka, a celebration of the lighter, oft-more accessible grape varietal!
Tuesday
Crafty Drinks
When: Tuesday, March 6th: 6pm-9pm
Where: West 3rd Common
With social networking largely relegated to various forms of online media, what better way to reconnect than via actual human interaction (that age old institution)! The folks over at Crafty Drinks are hosting their monthly gathering at West 3rd Common, in their effort to “allow artists, crafters and indie business owners to share experiences, ideas, resources and good drinks”. Sweet drink specials, plus the opportunity to expand your social network—beats knocking back the hooch and cruising Facebook!
Wednesday
MoMA Armory Party
When: Wednesday, March 7th: 9pm-12pm
Where: Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
Wednesday is for the artists! MoMA is hosting an after-party (featuring a performance by Neon Indian), which also doubles as a fundraiser for their exhibits on “the most important art of the 20th and 21st centuries”. With tickets for this evening of artistry and swank running at $125, don’t miss the opportunity to be edified and entertained within the lofty halls of MoMA!

A Burlesque “Spanking of the Lower East Side”
When: Thursday, March 8th: 9:45pm-11:30pm
Where: Nurse Bettie
Inject a little salacity into your Thursday night, via the risqué burlesque happening over at the 50’s inspired Nurse Bettie. An evening of scantily-clad performances, presided over by master of ceremonies “Calamity Chang”—a remedy for even the most stultifying of work days!
Friday
New York Beer Company Grand Opening Party
When: Friday, March 9th: 11pm-4am
Where: The New York Beer Company
What better way to herald the infinite promise of weekend hedonism than through celebrating the birth of another promising beertopia! New York Beer Company is throwing a bash in honor of their grand opening—chock full of bountiful varieties of both draft and bottled brew. Make your Friday a frothy one!
Saturday
I Love the 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s Party
When: Saturday, March 10th: 9pm-3pm
Where: Croton
Nostalgia sustains like nothing else. The remembrance of times past—specifically the memorable, alcohol-infused debauches of youth—is the fertile well of inspiration nestled within us all. Let time momentarily rewind at Croton’s celebration of the past three decades. Whether reliving the New-Wave takeover of the 80’s, the grunge phenomenon of the 90’s, or the diverse medley of hip-hop and pop of the 2000’s: snag your tix, slink on over to Croton’s, and immerse yourself in the sounds and tastes of youth!
Sunday
Flip Cup Tourney
When: Sunday, March 11th: 3pm
Where: Village Pourhouse
Sunday, largely having lost its appeal with the momentary hiatus of football, is sorely in need of competition to revitalize its image. Thankfully, Village Pourhouse is resurrecting the spirit of competition via a day-long flip cup tourney! Channel your inner frat/sorority impulses by ringing in Sunday with some good old fashioned binge drinking. Tickets go for $74, and cover: your entry into the fray, complimentary open bar & app buffet (pre-tourney), as well as half-price liquid goodness throughout the day. Best of all, the championship squad wins a sick package consisting of: dinner at Little Town NYC, a night out sponsored by SideBAR, as well a chauffeured limo ride to a Knicks game—quite the legendary evening, all possible through some vintage chug & flip!
