For a majority of the 52 calendar weeks, the sole salvation against work-induced doldrums exists in the weekend. This weekend has the added sweetness of housing the drinking maelstrom colloquially known as "St. Patty’s Day!" With that emerald lighthouse blistering at the end of the proverbial work week’s tunnel—the uphill battle of enduring mundanity is infinitely lessened!

Fattening the pot (of gold) at week’s end is a plethora of goodness occurring throughout the week. Rejoice, for the emerald fervor shall be steadily building—only to culminate in a 3 day weekend of general mayhem and frivolity! Until then, here’s the daily party prognosis!

 

Monday

Disco Party

Where: B.B. King Blues Club and Grill

What better way to wage ware against the torturous work week than with some Monday Night Fever—disco style!  Disco Unlimited are providing the funkadelic tunes, as B.B. MTV Free Comedy Show

When: Tuesday, March 13^th: 7:30pm

A little hilarity goes a long way in resurrecting one’s spirits. When the week is dropkicking your morale with untamed ferocity, fight back with some unadulterated laughter—for free! Copycat Cover Night

Over at Otto’s, the theme of the night—aptly titled “Copycat”—is a tribute to old school garage rockers “The Sonics”.  Vintage songs, live grooves, no cover, and $5 Sonic Blue Cocktails all night—genuine frivolity at its finest!

Vintage Brew & Arcade Night

Coupling the re-release of such classics as Flying Dog Gonzo, Dogfish Head Bitches Brew, and Sly Fox Ichor (to name a few), with some old school arcade goodness—Barcade is the spot to savor the sweet taste of nostalgia!

 

Pre St. Patty’s Kickoff Party

March Madness Party

There is the distinct possibility that some folks may not be violently hungover on this tamest of days—kudos to you! For the rest of the slavering masses suffering the effects of alcohol withdrawal (and potentially the DT’s), the only viable option is to indulge in some “hair of the dog”.
