New York City is a place where people strive and continue on every day! More than 500 of New York’s most influential business and philanthropic community members joined The Doe Fund at Cipriani 42nd Street to celebrate the return to self-sufficiency by thousands of formerly homeless New Yorkers.
The Doe Fund serves 1,000 individuals each day by providing paid work, career development opportunities, social services, and classroom education. After twelve months, clients (or “trainees”) graduate from the Ready, Willing & Able program with homes of their own, jobs in the private sector, paying their child support and fully reintegrated into our communities. The event marked a renewed sense of urgency and a call to action for New Yorkers to support real opportunities for those who need them most.
The Doe Fund held their annual gala on October 24 at Cipriani 42nd Street to celebrate the fund and those who have found success through its Ready, Willing & Able program. The Doe Fund is a non-profit organization that helps men that were once incarcerated help better themselves through programs offered by the fund.
