EDX and LAVO are a match made in nightlife heaven. This Thursday, November 13th, the Swiss production genius and New York City's renowned venue will join forces for a night of pure, electronic bliss guaranteed to make you feel good. Masquerading as an Italian restaurant by day, and a fantastic one at that, LAVO maintains a unmatched level of nightclub luxury and exclusivity unmatched by other venues both in the city and abroad. Regularly hosting the best and brightest DJs that dance music and nightlife have to offer, including Morgan Page, Tritonal, and Tommy Trash most recently, LAVO aims to maintain its status quo of excellence with a performance by EDX on Thursday.
Electronic dance music producer and DJ, Gareth Emery, will be at LAVO in New York City this Thursday night as part of his Drive Tour! The English EDM DJ has a distinctive style that has been described as a fusion of trance, house, and progressive all wrapped into one flawless electronic composition.
Early in 2002, Emery's debut release was a remix of The Shrink's classic 'Nervous Breakdown,' which went on to bring Emery to the attention of many in the dance music community, but the track that truly launched Gareth's career was 'Mistral,' which appeared on his third release, GTR, and catapulted him into the global spotlight where he received recognition from DJs like Tiesto and Ferry Corsten.
On Tuesday, May 14th, join premiere DJ Cassidy at LAVO Italian Restaurant and Nightclub for a night of passed hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a silent auction of highly covetable items and experiences to benefit the Silver Hill Hospital Scholarship Fund. Located in New Canaan, CT, Silver Hill Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital, has long been a world-renowned institution for the treatment of mental illness and addiction. Lavo celebrated their 1 year anniversary last night with DJ Laidback Luke. I just want to thank Noah Tepperberg, Jason Strauss, and all the peeps at Lavo for making this year so much fun for so many people!!!! I have spent many priceless nights at this establishment. I've seen countless world famous DJs like Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo, Steve Aoki and so many more this year at Lavo -not to mention the private parties they hosted this year! Such as the NFL draft party, Victoria's Secret after party, and Heidi Klum's Halloween party --all of which I was lucky to go to. Thank you again to all the Lavo family, the amazing resident DJ Steve Powers for constantly setting the party mood, all the fun waitresses and hosting staff, that could arguably be the best looking in NYC. Here are a few of my pictures from the year at Lavo, ENJOY!

Last night, a pair of Swedish DJ duos, Dada Life and CAZZETTE, took control of the already legendary DJ booth at LAVO NYC.
CAZZETTE were first to take the stage. Relative newcomers on the DJ scene, the Swedish pair have enjoyed a rapid increase in popularity over the past year. Their set at LAVO would have made you think they were seasoned vets, ending perfectly with their hugely popular bootleg of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World.” We will surely be hearing more of them in the coming years as they continue their development as producers and DJs.
Soon, though, it was Dada Life’s turn. From the minute the Swedish electro house duo took the stage, Olle and Stefan kept the energy level extremely high. Stefan could be seen yelling and banging on the ceiling at especially climatic moments. The close quarters of LAVO allowed the crowd to feed off the energy of the DJ pair. The middle of the dance floor stayed wild well into the early morning, with people dancing on tables, sofas, and any other elevated surface they could find.
The club appeared especially amped on the “Dada.” At least one fan showed up in a full banana costume and multiple people could be seen dancing with the inflatable champagne bottles and larger-than-life bananas that floated around the dance floor. The scene was especially fitting when Dada Life dropped their trademark bootleg featuring Gwen Stefani’s classic line: “This sh*t is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S.” Other highlights of their set included their new single “Happy Violence” and a sick bootleg combining Afrojack’s and R3hab’s “Prutataaa” with Empire of the Sun’s “Walking on a Dream.”
Overall, both DJ duos played fantastic sets, working the crowd into a madhouse of excitement over the course of four straight hours of electro house.

There is a reason why the doors of LAVO, the dining and nightlife concept brought to you by the Tao Group, are always jam packed. While it's impossible to pick just one, we would venture to guess that the Kobe Meatball might have something to do with this hotspot's popularity.
Made from fresh ground A-5 Kobe and accompanied by creamy ricotta cheese (made in house), the LAVO meatball may just be the best thing you ever eat, ever. It was packed with flavor, perfectly juicy, and melted in our mouths in a way that could only be understood by tasting it yourself.
Noah Tepperberg said it right. "Every great club has a disco ball." And, LAVO has that and more. In its infancy, LAVO is quickly standing out as the bright light in New York City nightlife. Doubling as a restaurant and A-List celebrity nightclub, LAVO has some impressive events lined up for October. Check it out!

TIËSTO Tiësto is a true star in the world of international dance music. Since his rapid rise to fame a decade ago, the super-DJ/Producer has been DJ Mag’s Top 100 list for the past 8 years. ERICK MORILLO Erick Morillo's name is synonymous with great house music, from his years spent in the best DJ booths around the world, to his decade-plus experience running his Subliminal Records label, to his collaborations with top producers, from Diddy to DJ Rap. Currently at the end of yet another season DJing at Pacha Ibiza for his weekly Subliminal Sessions, his schedule wont get any lighter with his Halloween USA takeover with back to back gigs at LAVO New York and TAO Las Vegas. He says: "I'm really excited to return home and break in the soundsystem at LAVO New York over Halloween weekend. I'll be bringing the global clubbing experience straight from Ibiza to New York for a very freaky Halloween. It'll be house music all night long!" You can catch a preview through his Subliminal Sessions podcasts, available at erickmorillo.com. With a raised DJ booth balanced elegantly between a sunken dance floor and a world-famous disco ball, the best of LAVO is yet to come as New York waits to see what the new venue has in store for New Year's Eve!
