Scene
Having one of the toughest doors in NYC, this exclusive spot was brought to you by none other than Mr.Noah Tepperberg (Marquee). If you plan on having a dance night, you should make other arrangements since there is no dance floor. But if you're in the mood to mingle with some of New York's elite, then this is definitely the place to be.
Eats & Drinks
If you're lucky enough to get a table, be sure to try Avenue's Parmesan Truffle Fries, a favorite among loyal patrons. And, if you're willing to drop a few extra bucks, Avenue serves up some of the most delicious cocktails in the city. The staff is attentive and courteous, so don't expect your glass to stay empty for very long.
Ambience
Intimate conversation is integral at Avenue, as there is a DJ booth but no dance floor. The space is dark and narrow, urging guests to move in closer to each other. We're sure they won't mind though, as Avenue is known for having one of the most beautiful crowds in the NYC nightlife scene. So get cozy with your favorite cocktail and start schmoozing!
Celebrities
Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye West, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, and Lady GaGa have all been spotted partying the night away at Avenue.

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY
Leonardo DiCaprio Rings in the Big 3-7 at Avenue

Heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio celebrated his 37th birthday this past Friday at hotspot Avenue. It seems like just yesterday he was 23 years old and stealing everyone's hearts in Titanic. Oh, how the time flies. In typical alturistic Leo fashion, he donated proceeds (some $1.3 million) of the party to his non-profit, The Leonard DiCaprio Foundation. The foundation funds protection projects for wildlife as well as clean water and disaster relief in third world countries. By adding fees to drinks and bottle services he was able to collect funds from the well-endowed crowd that included billionaires Stewart Rahr and Len Blavatnik along with a slew of Hollywood heavy hitters such as Benicio Del Toro, Robert DeNiro, Naomi Campbell and Ed Norton. Additionally he auctioned items off, which included a 15 liter bottle of Veuve Cliquot painted by Peter Tunney. The bottle sold for a whopping $50,000!

A Night In A-List Life

The fabulosity that is contained in Avenue (the club that resides on the corner of 17th and 10th Avenue, in the most accessibly glamour puss of neighborhood—the Meatpacking District) actually derives from its behavior as somewhat of a recluse among its fellow nightlife fixtures. It’s as flashy in appearances as any other of its kind: an overall darkened golden tone, dim lights beneath, and shiny, woody layered architecture, yet there is an inexplicable well-nigh volume of geeky chic. It’s a notion to be recognized after your third visit or so, but its geeky chic at its most stylized with lots of black and shiny ensembles and from a crowd that feels as if Avenue belongs to them.

Add Avenue to Your List of Chelsea Hotspots

Owned by Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss, partners in Manhattan's Marquee and Tao and LAVO in Las Vegas, it's no wonder that Avenue is one of the most glamorous, exclusive clubs in the city. This supper club has served A-listers like Madonna and Beyonce, but is more well known for their post-midnight crowd of top models and party elite. With a strict door, and even stricter dress code (no shorts on guys. EVER.), be assured that inside the doors of this bi-level club, you'll find some of the best looking people in town.

Trepperberg calls it a "gastro-lounge," a mix between a bar that serves food, no dance floor, with lots of seating and a DJ booth. In the beginning, this unmarked door didn't require purchasing a bottle, but with word getting out of Avenue's heat, you'll be lucky to get past the door without some serious connections, or serious cash.
