Scene
Butter has become the ultimate dining destination for New Yorkers since it opened in 2002. Butter restaurant has three different dining spaces which create a relaxing and unique dining experience for everyone who enters. Owners Scott Sartiano and Richie Akivia had the vision to create a place to combine the best of formal and casual dining. Butter succeeded in providing their diners and party goers a place to wine, dine, and dance in three extraordinarily distinct rooms.
Eats & Drinks
A trendy restaurant gets people interested but it’s the food at Butter that keeps people coming back for more year after year. Butter’s menu features local and seasonal ingredients, sourced from various farmers, and paired with a Wine spectator award-winning list. The food at Butter is French in style and technique but all American when it comes to ingredients. Whether you order by the glass or bottle, Butter has over 200 different wines to choose from. The Butter martini, a signature drink at Butter, is a blend of vodka, pomegranate liquor cointreau and pineapple. Butter offers many scrumptious dishes so make sure you try the Hudson valley duck, sautéed sugar snap peas and raspberry beignets.
Ambience
The space-age forest design--the arched upstairs with its illuminated tree mural and the downstairs with its birch-lined walls at Butter keeps enticing customers every day. The mood, lighting and décor shifts to different dimensions in each room. The Great Room located upstairs is the bright airy dining room can accommodate anywhere from two to thirty at one time. The Gallery Area was designed to be a relaxing area for meeting and socializing with people over cocktails and starters. The Birch room is fitted with silver birch trees giving the room the most intimate feeling of all the rooms. On the weekends, the DJ transforms the three extraordinary rooms into a great nightlife spot with hip hop, disco and classic rock.
Celebrities
The food is so amazing at Butter that people like Lindsay Lohan and Diddy keep coming back for more.
