JiaJia F.10/31/10The most wonderful place on earth, especially when there are drag queens.

Taking over Capone’s and substituting free pizza for lissome go-go dancers may seem like a direct affront to Metropolitan, Williamsburg’s reigning queer hipster destination. But Sugarland shares an owner with its divey counterpart and offers a few things Metro can’t: a vast, spotless, split-level space with a stage for weekly performances, sleek alcoves lined with banquettes, and a designated dance floor and D.J. booth. Yet, a tidy outdoor crow’s nest for smokers, sublimely friendly bartenders, and generous drink specials separate Sugarland from faceless Manhattan gay clubs. You may feel more at home at Metropolitan, where everybody knows your name, but this late-night playhouse is always waiting.
The Corcoran Group 7/9/11Join in the fun with other sweaty and beautiful people on the dance floor and then retreat to the upstairs outdoor patio for a breather and then jump back into it.
Angela B.9/13/11Vampire Lesbians, Kitty Punch Rock n Roll Dance Party, Muff Muff, Nasty Freaks, Cheap Booze, and Dirty Flirty Karaoke? Say what? This is the place to be.
Dev G.1/23/11People that enjoy going to this place really need to get out more. And a $5 cover... in Brooklyn. Really? It's bad enough that I had to come out to this borough.
Humberto M.9/9/10Wednesday = $2 PBR and free cocktail when you go pantless.
