Located on the cusp of Soho and the West Village, the Anchor Bar offers a socialite and downtown hipster haven scattered into one. It’s the best-kept secret in the city, where celebrities mingle with locals. The Anchor was established to break all the rules of an increasingly stagnant NYC nightlife scene with its funky vintage décor of American eagle wallpaper and poles wrapped with rope.

Antler chandeliers, wood paneling and American eagle wallpaper creates a lodge-like neighborhood hangout. With DJ’s spinning rap, 80s and rock in the back of the bar, the Anchor Bar is anything but bland.

Food & Drink

You like shots? The Anchor Bar has a long list of specialty shots and cocktails. Sugary and pungent concoctions, these shots are often named after various media executives, fashion editors and publicist who are all frequent guests- try the glass of champagne shot honoring Nylon editor Dani Stahl and if you’re lucky, they may name a shot after you.
