If you are looking for a little taste of the southwest in New York City then Johnny Utah’s is the place for you. Johnny Utah’s old-west themed restaurant and bar boasts a Tex-Mex menu filled with all the favorites. Located in Rockefeller Center, you’ll find Johnny Utah’s to be the perfect atmosphere to really let go on your night out. Bring your friends and get ready for an array of tequila shots! (Just make sure you have them after the bull-ride. Yes, a bull-ride.) A little piece of advice: We hear Mondays are the best nights to go! Bull rides start nightly at 7:30pm, the ride is free, but, first come, first served!
Eats & Drinks
Johnny Utah’s embodies the real meaning of Southwestern food. With hearty recipes of our cultural ancestors, Johnny Utah’s will offer a menu full of zesty Texan BBQ ribs, savory streak fajitas, and sides you won’t believe! (Where else can you find hush puppies, biscuits, and grits?) While you’re here, sit back and enjoy some authentic Mexican tequila or its country cousin, Mezcal. If that’s not your style - whiskey, mojitos, margaritas, martinis, wine and beer are all available. Johnny’s even has their own homemade sweet tea.
This 6,000 square foot underground hotspot is the perfect place for the urban cowboy, from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere. Almost every seat in the house has a view of the dining room’s main attraction, Manhattan’s only mechanical bull. Johnny Utah’s interior was designed as an interpretation of an old western mining shaft with salvaged antique tiles and pony-hide furniture that comprise the feel of a traditional saloon.
Johnny Utah’s is all about the bull rides but we can’t help but wonder who else we may spot inside. Some celebs include singer Natasha Bedingfield, actresses Jennifer Coolidge and Harlyne Yi, and America’s Next Top Model Season 7 Winner Caridee English.
