AMNH's Junior Council to Throw Last Party of the Season
Conclude the Junior Council 2011-2012 season with jazz, cocktails, and space!

AMNH
American Museum of Natural History will host its last Junior Council party for the 2011-2012 season on Thursday, June 28th from 6:30-9:30pm. Join other like-minded young professionals on the Museum’s Arthur Ross Terrace for an evening of cocktails, jazz, and most importantly awesome solar system science! We've said it before, and we'll say it again, AMNH is the best museum ever. Seriously. Dinosaurs, cavemen, a planetarium --it really does not get any better than that. To top it off, they throw some amazing parties. This season's annual Young Philanthropists Gala included glowsticks, DJ Jus-Ske, surrounded by gigantic elephants and other mammalian life. If you want to see how our last night at the museum went down, go here. There will also be a  special discussion by the Museum’s director of astrovisualization, Carter Emmart. So what's it all about? In a nutshell:

"How Many Worlds in the Universe? Our modern Age of Exploration has shown us the worlds nearby us in the solar system at great detail. Now we are finding planetary systems are the norm rather than the exception. How many worlds could there be in the universe? Carter Emmart will take guests through the Museum’s Digital Universe Atlas in the Hayden Planetarium to see what can be said about all of this."
