On Saturday, March 24th at 8:00 pm, the Village Pourhouse's Uptown NYC location (109th street and Amsterdam Ave) will host a fundraising event for the American Foundation for African Children's Education (AFACE), a non-profit organization that works with West African companies and hardware stores to help repair children's schools, provide school supplies, and build new schools in order to make much-needed educational opportunities more available to children in struggling communities.

In addition to a $5-$10 cover charge, 15% of the bar's proceeds from the evening will be donated toward the cause, with every cent of the money raised going directly towards building materials for the schools.
On top of that, if you take a cab to the event the total cost of the cab ride will be credited towards your bar tab (with receipt). With every drink purchase directly benefiting the renovation of the Ndeer Elementary School in Senegal, it's a perfect excuse to order a few extra rounds on a Saturday night.
