Think Marquee meets The Gates. No, not a long line of tourists. Not a bunch of glorified drapes that get knocked over by the snow. But in the cutthroat world of New York hotspots, it's the details that count. And the "Gates-ish" details, the posh orange lights on the ceiling, help give The Plumm a sexy, glowing, decadent vibe. Designed by Richard Baquero of RAB/ID, Plumm has a deep purple background--hence the name--and immediately launches into the upper-stratosphere of NYC nightlife decor. Look for a sexy crowd, models, and a top-notch DJ lineup that includes the likes of Q-Tip. VIP membership is "semi-private," available only through a special keychain. Good luck getting one.

Those who've been in New York will remember this space as former nightclub Nell's. Menu is by Alex Guarnaschelli, who learned how to feed the well-heeled, club hopping crowd over at Butter.
