Marquee is one West Chelsea club that couples high-class clientele with long term success. For five years, the impeccably dressed doorman, Wass, has maintained the ultra-lounge’s integrity, thus making it a fixture in the lives of Manhattan’s party elite. Rubbing elbows with models and celebrities is not an anomaly, but a guarantee. Bottle service is the norm and single men: be ready to cough up serious dough if you want to party like a rock star. The lounge’s Tuesday Baby Tuesday party has attracted la crème de la crème for years. Inside highlights include a signature staircase, plus a chandelier that drenches revelers in an array of ever changing colors. At this bi-level club, which boasts two DJs and three bars, space is at a premium. The main dance floor on the bottom floor is so small that most club goers take to the couches to get their groove on. House and techno beats blare until 5 am. Late last week, some of our favorite celebs stepped out in New York City to celebrate the Season 3 premiere of Master of the Mix, hosted by Smirnoff Vodka and VH1. Master of the Mix, for those of you who don't know, is a VH1 reality show where DJs battle head-to-head to earn the title of Master of the Mix and a $250,000 grand prize. The premiere party took place at the newly reopened Marquee Nightclub in NYC where guests sipped on signature Smirnoff cocktails, including the Vinyl Collection, The Backspin, and more. The party kicked off with an official welcome from the show's host Amanda Seales, followed by a super trailer of the season. Master of the Mix judge DJ Mia Moretti hit the 1s and 2s accompanied by electric violinist Caitlin Moe, followed by DJ Kid Capri, also a judge on the show. Other celebs in attendence at the event were fashion designers Charlotte Ronson and Christian Siriano, as well as Corey Kennedy, Sway Calloway, and others. Check out the party pics below!

This New Year’s Eve Party will be hosted at Marquee! Marquee has been declared the “Hottest Club in the Known Universe” and is legendary! It is the flagship of New York nightclubs and only the finest A-listers are allowed to enter. On any given night, Marquee is the destination of choice where royalty, whether it’s Hollywood, music or fashion come to frisk, frolic and canoodle the night away.
Sunday’s event at Marquee was sweet and sexy. A private celebration of different lingerie apparel companies and stores hosted by Intima Magazine. When I was booked to DJ, I thought the event was going to be a little naughty. Oddly enough it was probably one of the most sophisticated crowds I have DJd for in a long time. The majority of the guests were women of all ages and they all had a lot of class. From Chanel suits to Cartier watches, even some of their bras were 'blinged out.'

Thursday night I finally got my chance to experience the exclusive and elite Marquee. Though Marquee’s outside appearance can be quit deceiving, never judge a book by its cover. To onlookers, Marquee may look like an abandoned warehouse, but once the door opens you will be surprised by its majesty and elegance.
Well, that’s if you get past the doorman. Guys don’t come without any girls or there’s no chance you’re dancing your night away at Marquees "Our House Event." The impeccably dressed gatekeeper of Marquee, Shu de Jong, gave us a brief glimpse into the world of celebrity nightlife. Bring your sister if you need to, just don't show up stag. Shu likes to keep the girl to guy ratio 60:40 and isn’t scared to turn someone away even if voices begin to escalate. He is the brand manager, the one who upholds the reputation of Marquee. The Director of Marketing, if you will. On Thursday nights he has the last say so I got the inside scoop from Shu about who gets in and who doesn’t!
