On July 26th, the talents of a classically trained chef and an experienced bartender will unite to form a colossal product: the ultimate alcoholic cupcake at NYC’s Prohibition Bakery.

Passerby’s of 9 Clinton Street have been teased by the makeshift signs, impatiently awaiting its opening to get a taste of these boozy treats. With the cupcake phenomenon in full swing, we have no doubt that New Yorkers will jump at the idea of getting their hands on spiked cupcakes.

We took a peak at the bakery’s menu on its website, and we definitely can’t wait to get our hands on a Sangria cupcake, comprised of orange, pinot noir, pear brandy, and apple chip. Hey kids don’t worry, there are virgin cupcakes on the menu too – even bacon flavored.

Taking all the food and drinks a human can consume and compacting them into cake form: genius.

Why didn’t we think of it first?
