Yes, the Momofuku mogul wants to share a tale with you (and 900 others) on Septemeber 13 as part of “MOTH Eaten: Adventures in Food.” The Moth, a literary organization that “is dedicated to the art and craft of story-telling,” will feature Chang, as well as other foodie notables, Padma Lakshmi, Gail Simmons and The New Yorker’s Adam Gopnik, as they relay food-focused experiences. And, according to The Feast, the entire event will be “without notes,” as per the group’s regular policy to remain unscripted. Tickets for the salty evening, which will be held at The Great Hall at Cooper Union, can be purchased here.
And in case you need a better visual to accompany Chang’s voice, you can now see his face plastered around the city in Uniqlo’s new campaign. Yup, along with all the other models that have descended on the city this week, Chang is now a face of the company along with other “regular people,” David Karp of Tumblr, Esperanza Spalding and Laura Linney. While the campaign is all in the name of charity- the company promised a donation to a favored organization of each participant- we can’t help but wonder if the new model’s diet will some how be reflected on future Momofuku menus? MOTH: Eaten will be held at The Great Hall at Cooper Union, 7 East 7th Street, starting at 7:30 (doors open at 6:30).
