There is something undeniable about champagne, whether you like it, hate it, can’t have brunch without it; bubbly tickles your nose and makes everyone feel incredibly posh. Who doesn’t want to feel like a million bucks as they raise a glass to the past year on New Year’s Eve?

Drink up before you break those New Year’s resolutions—you’re celebrating the coming of a new year! Here are 3 fabulous (and affordable) artisanal champagnes that were recommended to us by our hometown wine boutique, Down the Rabbit Hole in Sayville, NY. Long Island may be a trek for those in the five boroughs but we suggest treating yourself to a bottle of champagne outside the typically common bottles of bubbly at New Year’s Eve festivities. Visit your local wine boutique and they’ll be sure to pour you in the right direction of champagnes worthy of welcoming 2013 in cork-popping style. While you're choosing bubbles for NYE don't forget to plan an unforgettable night and choose from a variety of different parties here.

Secco Italian Bubbles Rosé

This bubbly Rosé from 2011 has faint notes of rose, wild Alpine strawberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, and crushed Italian stone while remaining completely dry on the palate. Technically a Prosecco this sparkling Italian wine is fun, sexy, and food friendly.

RH Coutier Champagne

An blend of organic pinot noir and chardonnay this French champagne has notes of brioche and subtle raspberry with a comforting, yeasty finish. One sip and you will feel as though you’re at Downton Abbey as this champagne is sure to “transport you to a bygone era of unsurpassed elegance and opulence.”

Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve Champagne

The aromatic Brut Réserve champagne is blended with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from three different years. This technique gives this champagne its intense character and structure. Notes of cedar, honey, ginger, and fresh fruits create a sensation similar to baking a tray of croissants: rich and buttery.
