Executive Chef Marco Porceddu has created a special menu for mom which includes many innovative Italian dishes. Flower service is available from 11am to 1pm and brunch is from 11am to 4pm. FireBird announces brunch as well as outside dining on the third-floor terrace, beginning on Mother’s Day. Executive Chef Paul Joseph, for the first time, is presenting a $25 two-course prix fixe menu of Russian inspired brunch dishes including St. Petersburg Pancakes, which come topped with pineapple, apple and toasted almonds, and a Georgian Omelet with lamb sausage, cherry peppers and onions. This is the perfect place to take Mom before a show in the theatre district. The prix-fixe includes a glass of champagne, mimosa or Bloody Mary. Brunch will be served from 11am to 4pm, with an a la carte brunch continuing every Saturday and Sunday from this point on. Don’t forget to make a reservation.

Isabella’s, on the Upper West Side, is offering a few specials for Mother’s Day as well as their regular a la carte menu. On the menu for appetizers is a Strawberry Salad with baby arugula, gorgonzola tossed with a white balsamic vinaigrette and a Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with artichoke caponata, basil salsa verde. For entrees, mom can enjoy a Pan Roasted Wild Striped Bass with asparagus, fingerling potatoes, sweet pepper vinaigrette or Chicken “Milanese” with frisée and endive salad and a wild mushroom jus. For dessert, they have a Chocolate Raspberry Velvet Tart with fresh berries and berry swirl ice cream.
