If you thought the best part about it being Friday was that it is Friday, we’re here to tell you, you thought wrong.
Today, and for one day only, the French Cheese Board in Midtown Manhattan is hosting the type of FREE event that dreams are made of, as long as your sweet dreams, much like ours, are made of cheese.
On Friday, November 21st, starting at 11am and going till 7pm, the Cheeses of Europe returns to New York City following a string of successful pop-up events throughout the country earlier this fall. The event, which is open to the public, welcomes four cheese companies from France offering samples of more than twenty different types of cheese. Additional highlights will include the debut of a new photo exhibit showcasing milk by famed photographer Colombe Clier, cooking demos by Top Chef France contestant Valentin Néraudeau, pours of wines to accompany the cheese samples, cheeses for sale at special prices, and educational presentations by each of the attending cheese companies.
“Our pop-up events in New York in 2014 have been hugely popular,” states Laurent Damiens, Communications Director at CNIEL, the French Dairy Inter-Branch Organization that funds the Cheeses of Europe campaign. “It’s clear that the people of New York love these delicious European cheeses, which is why we launched our dedicated event space this year as well, the French Cheese Board. It’s the perfect venue to showcase the cheeses and help spread awareness for our new communications campaign, “Make it Magnifique.”
Because the best things in life are cheese.
