The East Village fruity beverage mavens, who recently opened up a second location on East 10th Street and are also available at FoodParc, have announced plans for their next storefront on 62nd Street and Third Avenue. The tony address will be larger than their original 1st street home, but will still offer the same Super-Food Smoothies, Raw Food and fresh Coconut Water as the other locales.
Best known for their cleanses, The Juice Press promises that they’re more than the average smoothie factory. On their website, the company explains that they use the slowest machines that are commercially allowed. What does this mean for you, the juice drinker? According to these raw food ravers, they slow-press system provides “maximum juice extraction from the least amount of produce.” What else does it offer? Only the tastiest drink in town.
The Juice Press offers cleanses that range from 6 to 8 juices per day and can be completed over 3 to 5 days. Of course, if you really want to go for it, try their third cleanse option, The Vital Energy Rebuilder, which is recommended for anywhere from 3 to a whopping 15 days.
If you’re looking for something that you can actually chew on, however, the Juice Press also offers a small menu of raw food options including avocado toast and curried orchard kale. Finish off your meal with a raw chocolate truffle and remind yourself why eating healthy food doesn’t have to be so bad.
While the company has not announced an official open date for the UES spot, they’ve already placed their logo in the window so we’re hoping it’s any day. Which should be just in time to sip on something cool while the city is still hot.
