Transatlantic is starting its world tour this January. The super-band formed in 1999 as an ensemble from other progressive rock bands - Neal Morse (Spock's beard), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Pete Trewavas (Marillion), and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings)--joined forces. What started as a side project between the talented musicians became a full-time gig.
With their new album Kaleidoscope out February 27th, its already gained great reviews from fans and metal music-heads alike. It consists of 5 songs, for instance standout track, "Into the Blue," is twenty-five minutes long. Good news to the progressive rock community and those who have been faithful fans of the the mega band since their successful debut album "SMPTe" in 2000.
Transatlantic will be at the Highline Ballroom February 9th to deliver high head-banging energy with heavy guitar riffs and great harmonies from all band members for what we predict will be an epic night you won't want to miss out on.
